Grandstream HT801 - How do I stop ghost calls?

A ghost call is a telephone call for which, when the recipient of the call answers, there is no one on the other end of the call. The term is also used in managing IP PBX systems.

To prevent this happening, follow the steps below.

  1. Find the IP address of your Grandstream HT801 VoIP ATA. If you do not know this, you can log into your router and view the DHCP leases.
     
  2. Visit the IP of the Grand stream in your web browser Login with the username admin and password admin.

     
  3. Once logged in, click on FSX port on the top-right menu.

     
  4. About half way down the page, enable the following setting to only allow calls to be recieved from the SIP proxy
